Alright, I'm having some issues Overclocking my e4300
SPECS :
500W Power Supply
XFX nForce 680i LT SLI Motherboard
2x GeForce 7600
2gb DDR2 RAM
Intel Core 2 Duo e4300
I've tried both overclocking through the BIOS as well as with nTune, both to no avail.
What happens :
The Overclock shows as 2250Mhz in both the BIOS itself, and the nTune utility.
Problem is, POST only shows it as 1.80Ghz, and the operating system sees it as 1.80Ghz
I havn't changed the voltages or anything, so they're all still "auto". I changed the FSB bus because the multiplier only allows me to choose between 6 to 9, so I've got to use the FSB to OC it. (FSB is set to 900)
Any ideas why the OC doesn't "Stick"?
Also, I've read about something called a Cold-boot. Any ideas if this is the issue, and if so, how do you fix a cold boot?
