hi im thinking about this tunner for my main rig but the first review scared me alittle id realy like to get this tunner but wil it conflict with my sata

"I just got this card from Newegg. I had problems getting it to work with a new A8N-SLI Deluxe mombo. The problem seems to be with the Nvidia SATA controller or possibly my mini- IDE to SATA converter boards. Once I stuck the HD on the IDE controller all worked fine. Just giving those with this MOBO the heads up! Once it worked the picture quality really is that nice and it doesn't eat up many processor cycles. Since this product is new I will have to forgive the driver issues as once it works it is the best SD tuner I have seen."
and what does the ddr chip do is it a buffer if so for wat?
