If you guys like these items please tell me and if you think anything needs to be changed dont be afraid to give some input. I don't know much about computers and this is my first time, but all these parts seem to be pretty nice.

Thanks guys xD

*EDIT*
I have changed the mother board to one that actually supports my DDR3 Memory and have also changed from a BluRay Read/Writer to just a simple DVD Reader. And have upgraded from the i7-930 processor to the i7-950 for an extra 20 Bucks.
The Last thing I did was I downgraded from the GeForce GTX 470 to the GeForce GTX 460. Thats the only one I'm not to sure of even though it saves me a bit and is only a little bit slower. Since this is a video editing/gaming PC I don't know for sure. If anyone again has any help or can help me then feel free :)

A couple of things are off.

-You're pairing an AMD AM3 motherboard with an Intel 1366 processor and triple channel memory. You either have to switch to a 1366 motherboard or switch to a dual channel memory kit and an AM3 processor.

-If you're sticking with i7, the 950 is about the same price as the 930, so you should definitely check that out.

-The Blueray burner. Are you really going to use it? Think it over again before purchasing ;)

The PSU, SSD, HDD, GPU and case are all nice. There might be some cheaper or slightly faster variations/brands out there if you look around, but you can't go very wrong with your current choices.

It would help us help you further if you tell us what the PC will mainly be used for.

EDIT: Almost forgot. You don't need to worry about thermal compound if you're not planning on overclocking. The stock cooler that ships with the processor already has some applied.

P.S. Your links are all broken :)

Thanks so much lol
I have alot of mistakes it seems, but I guess its because I'm a first time builder
-.-
Thanks for the help and about the links... LOL what a fail.
I don't know why their all messed up, but whatever. I guess anyone who knows what their doing will know what those items are.
Thanks again and I'll be sure to fix whatever is wrong.

Almost forgot, I am trying to build a gaming/video editing PC just FYI

I would swap the CPU to an i5 750 in favor of a better graphic card.
I've actually heard some pretty good reviews on the graphics card and most people I've seen have it. Not saying your not right and I won't take in your input, just saying that it seems to be good for being like 100 bucks cheaper. But I am downgrading the CPU maybe to save some money, but idk yet...

for a pure gaming pc the p55 chipset running an i5 760 is more than adequate. It has been benched against the x58 i7 and is found to not be a slouch at all. You don't need hyperthreading for gaming since nearly all games do not utilize it. If you go that route you only need 4gb of ram (low latency if the budget allows) and a p55 mobo instead.. the rest of the gear would be fine with it.. if you save enough cash up you can invest in a better vid card!

Do you have a link to the mobo cause theres alot of them and I'm not exactly sure what would be best. I'll probably stick with the vid card since theres alot of good reviews about it unless I have enough money to go with a 470 which in that case I'll...go with the 470 lol.
Thanks again :salute:

For your 1st build you're going to use a server MB? I would get this one if you're staying with an X58 MB.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128423
It has this 2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16
And 2 USB 3.0 slots.
And
Support for 2-Way, 3-Way ATI CrossFireX / NVIDIA SLI technology
I'm actually going with an i5 760 so I'm going to need a 1156 Mobo. Thanks though :/
I apologize for the inconvenience and the only reason I am going with a 1156 is because I can save around $300 and I'm only using this for gaming/web browsing and all the other good stuff...
I'm not totally set in on this yet, but I don't know lol
Thanks anyways :)
