LGA Prescott CPU Temp..??

Really sorry if this topic has been posted before but I need some acute help. (i hope not)

My idle cpu temperature is ( 65 - 70 C). How can that be? I have checked by bios, it says so, my 3rd eye says the same temp and my Abit uGURU to. When i fell the heatsink it doesnt seem to be "that hot"??

I have heard rumors(maybe facts) that prescotts run hotter... but how hot????

That's too hot for idle temps even for a Prescott. Sounds like the heatsink is not making good contact. Remove it, clean it, reapply thermal paste, and reinstall.
