Optical drives...... I haven't seen those on a PC in a decade, I swear!!!!

no name case.......since i dont know exactly how tall a cooler will fit in my case
.........how would we know???!!! Measure it and see! ;)

EDIT: Your stock intel cooler will easily fit in the chassis. Make sure you have good airflow as this motherboard isn't any better (it may be worse) than the one you talked about in a previous thread for this build (you could have posted this question in that thread since it's about the same build...........).

@EarthDog i dont yet have the mobo here but i measured from the rear io tp the side panel its about 6 and a half inches what cpu cooler will fit that?

wat? No idea what you mean here. Measure from the top of the a mobo standoff to side panel.

I don't know specs of heatsinks offhand, however... perhaps others do. But just make sure what you're looking at specs that it's less than 140mm and you should be fine (MEASURE properly!).

See my edit from the previous post......

EDIT: BIG EDITS HERE TOO... FYI.

I installed a Ryzen 7 5700G in a MATX case and it was running about 15-20 degrees warmer than I wanted so I installed the Be Quiet pure rock 2 cooler. Easy install once I figured out how the fan clips work.

It's now under 100 F. degrees when Idling, after I changed the thermal paste to artic silver-5. .

Sorry, I'm just used to seeing Celsius in the PC world, that threw me reading it before the morning caffeine. :soda:
