here is the computer
intel se440bx-2 mobo
slot1 400celeron 66mhz fsb
320 mb ram 100mhz bus
tnt2 32mb
hp cdrw 4x-2x-32x 8100series
32x generic cd
6.4 gig fujitsu hd
isa 16creative sound card
snc nic 10/100
windows 2000pro

the problem is the following recentely it began to take about 15min to boot without anything new being added to the computer (software or hardware) so after it booted for 15min everything goes fine except the usual problem that a slow computer like this one can have but hey my friend does not need something bigger sooooooooooooooooooo
does anybody have an idea why suddenly it started to take 15min instead of 1-2min like before??

Have you tried using a registry fixer and defragmenting the hard drive?

Usually this is a good way to begin to solve problems of this type.

I use Ontrack Fix It Utilities 4.0, but if you are using Win98, Norton System works is one of the best.
