That's what I was thinking. The two things I avoid with networking, cheap stuff and anything labeled "gaming". With the rare exception, it's usually crud or overpriced.

Oh yeah, like I said there are exceptions. I've just always had better luck buying the mid-range stuff. Only decent cheap part I had was a Patriot branded flash drive style N150 wifi adapter that actually worked better than the Netgear and Linksys PCI cards I tried replacing it with.

What, exactly, is "it"? If you're referring to the price, I just got two Crucial M500 960GB drives for a better dollar-to-GB ratio than the drive you linked.

Now we're getting somewhere. A high-end brand, an actually useful capacity, below the $0.50/GB mark (at least pre-tax), and below $250 total Less need to restrict myself to the 960+ GB range, now

Yeah, those kingstons are the ones to avoid. They have been as low as 89.99 with rebate for that model.
