Thats a great score Joe, especially for ATI. Still 10K behind nvidia in this bench, I wonder why it's soo biased.

Well, K|ngp|n did run both of his GTXs over 1000mhz on both GPU & Mem.

Also 2500 points of Joe's score are becuase of merom. (Compared to K|ngp|n)

GT1 helps him a lot. The cards have a very long way to catch up to faster scores.

Yes but even if you benched 1000/1000 on a CF setup with the same FX clocks as KP the score would be 5K behind. It's not a fair bench between platforms. Thats not the case in '05.

GETTING BETTER

The more I tweak the system to run with the X1600 the better things get.
It was not simply a question of cranking up the card speeds.

Core 627 memory 446 for 7111 3dmarks with approved drivers, the 6.5 cats were slower on this system.

Well, this is about the best I can get out of my single 7900GT. This card sucks compared to my last 7900GT, the memory won't clock near as high and that hurts the score big time. I wish I would have run 03 with my other card but I never did before it quit on me.

Anyway, card scores 24,194 at 731/840, I can only wonder what my other card would have scored :bang head

I wish my cpu would run GT1 better, that would help the score out a lot. Maybe I can squeeze out a few more points and get into the top 10 :thup:

My Results

X1600XT
According to Catalyst Control Center the clocks are:
Core= 587Mhz
Memory= 693Mhz

I saw tcom50 was the only one with posted scores for the x1600 series, so I figured I'ld throw my results into the mix.

Scores:
9412 3DMarks
1089 CPUMarks

That's it... I'm frying my 5700LE and posting my 3DM03 score...
For some reason I'm only getting 2325 with my 5700 overclocked to 340/550........ yet I can play GRAW(mixture of low and high with the hack so it thinks I'm running a... 6400 I think), NFS:MW(max) and Oblivion(med) at 1024x768.

And the CS:S benchmark has me at 30fps with DX9 and the game maxed out. (bloom on, HDR off, 4x AA and AS) 1200x1000

Mabe I'll try useing older drivers... right now I have 93.xx and they don't seem to be dong any good.

Scored: 10044

HouseRaT, why isn't my 4k 3dmark05 score being counted?

"NOTE: This project has not been run with Futuremark approved drivers"

I'm guessing your other score had the same problem. Please read the rules again at the top of the thread. Thanks.
