i have my p3 coppermine at 140 mhz FSB right now. thats 980 mhz. the coppermines were favorites among overclockers in theyre day.

it all depends on the batch and stepping.
MOST PIII 700's hit 933 easy, 1050 with a little luck...
Many 650 hit 1100, most about 900 MHz...

and i would go with the P3 any day over a Duron.
It would be faster, and you can run it on a VIA free chipset

Fun... if you posted this in the AMD forum then you would get a different opinion...;) . Could someone please post some links to help make a beter choice... use it... dont use it ;)

LOL. I thought the same thing.

Now, off to find a P3 mobo :)

I dont really think if you posted this question in the AMD forum you would get a different answer....

Its a fact the P3 is a faster CPU than a Duron.
And how much they overclocked in thier day, well look at the results in the CPU database, so no bias their.

If it was an Althon vs a Pentium, then i could see the bias showing...

but as its a duron....
that would be like asking if a Celeron is faster than a athlon and say your bias for picking the Athlon
