Not shure if its the board or something else, I have 512mb of micron ECC DDR ram 1 stick of 256 and 2 sticks of 128 which fills all three ram slots, in the boot up mem counter it says 512mb but when I look in my sys properties under WIN XP its says 384MB of ram. Any suggestions why? or how to fix this?

Thanks for the help.

My experience with the k7VTA3 has been iffish. The older bios version 1.0 was horrible. However I'll assume you have a 2.0 or higher. Definately check your DRAM settings in bios. Also if the ram you installed has different cycle speeds it might throw it off as well, not to sure though.

Hope I helped

Hi Mystikal,

Sorry to hear that you running k7vta3 . I own one too and it is a 9mare . My best suggestion is to change stick combinations and test them all and the slots.

see if that works.
good luck
