I was thinking about it the other day and realized that my first processor was a 8 mhz one. I mean things have come a long ways since then and I was just wondering what processors poeple have owned over the years and what kind of overclocks you have gotten from them.

Here are the systems ive owned

- AMD K5 117Mhz PR 166 , Ran it at stock speed , still have it and it works still

- Intel Pentium MMX 166Mhz , I ran it at stock speed. i still have this chip and it works still

- Cyrix 6x86MX 200Mhz , ran stock speed. and i thought it was fast

- Intel Pentiun 2 333Mhz , Ran Stock Speed.

- AMD Athlon Xp 1600 1.4Ghz , clocked it to 1.5Ghz. not a bad chip nice step from the 333Mhz

- AMD Athlon XP 2000 1.66Ghz , Clocked it to 1.7Ghz. Got this chip for free. traded me 1600 to me gf she traded her 1.2 duron to my friend and he bought me a 2000

- Intel Pentium 4 3.06Ghz , i run it stock since this is my laptop

- AMD Athlon XP 2800 2.08Ghz , which is my curent Chip ive hit 2.4Ghz with it

Amd Athlon 1ghz - ran it at 1.1ghz, gave it to my mom.

Amd Athlon XP 2000+ 1.67ghz (Palamino core) - ran it stock, is now my gf's compy.

Amd Athlon XP 2600+ 1.91ghz (Barton core) - ran it at 2.23ghz, now sitting on my desk waiting to be sold.

Current chip is an Amd Athlon XP 2500+ Mobile 1.83ghz (Barton core) - running it at 2.5ghz ftm, good little chip.

286 @ 12-16MHz Fun lol till my grandfather beat it in othelo and it exploded (all the caps blew at once)

486DX2......lol I have the processor and I think it is in working condition

586.......that quickly died from a power outage

p1 66Mhz........still have the proc and it still works.

p1 75MHz........ditto

p1 133Mhz.......have 2 of these in my box o junk

p1 150MMX.......used to have this running for my parents but then gave them a K6-2 that I used to have.

p1 166MHz........have it in a file server that I use to this day.

AMD K6-2 [email protected] know the OC isn't much but the heatsink sucks and only my parents are using it now so it doesn't much matter.

P4 [email protected].....Gigabyte boards don't OC too well so I have no idea if I can puch this proc further.

My first overclock was a P-120 overclocked to a whopping 133 MHz of blazing speed. Next I played around with a P-2 233 and ran it at 300 MHz. My first awesome overclock was with an Abit BH6 and Celeron 300A combo that I ran at 450 MHz (463 max).

Here we go...

DOS 286 Machine (reader rabbit never looked better)

Pentium 1 90MHz (somehow I managed to get Microsoft Flight Simulator 2000 running on it, don't ask me how...)

Pentium 4 2.4B overclocked to 2.88GHz (stock speed for now, I need stability for folding.)

Starting from when I was a PC nub till now here goes

1) Apple Macinstosh Performa 600 (used this thing from when I was in 1st grade till 7th, jesus)

2) Some kinda no name brand I bought from Computer city (dead chain) 233mhz cyriex

3) Had to get rid of my no name brand cause it sucked badly, so I got a compaq presario 500mhz p3 which I used for another 2 years.

4) Finally self build pc after 3 failures 1.4 tbird, oced it at one point to 1.45 but dropped back.

5) First overclocking cpu, 1600+_ AGOIA Y, @ 1.75mhz :)

6) Moved over to a 1700+ Tbird, ran it at 2.2ghz

7) Current pc 2.6c I ran at 3.2 but now I no longer overclock it. and most likely will not oc cpus anymore.

I started off with a 386 16Mhz,

moved up to a 486 66Mhz

Then moved up to a AMD 486 DX4 120Mhz... that thing was fast for its day! Was nice having a 486 with PCI slots.

From there I went to a Pentium 200Mhz

Then a K6-2 450

Then a K6-2+ 550

Up to a Duron 1Ghz ( ran this at 1224Mhz)

Then to an Athlon XP1600+ ( ran this at 1575MHz)

And my final step is to my current XP2100 Tbred @ 2335Mhz

I hope to dip into the A64 waters later this year after socket 939 comes out.

I don't think I can name them all, but here goes:

-Pentium 133mhz had this thing from the end of the PII era to the beginning of the P4 era.

-PIII 700mhz I was so happy when I recieved this, but I soon realized it was already really dated. I think I OCd it to maybe 800, but I don't think it booted.

-AMD K6? 233mhz I used it when I had friends come over to play games over the network.

-486 laptop. don't remember how fast. It died. It died a lot.

-PIII 450mhz slot1 Got it from my foster mom's work. Used it as a secondary for a while, until the capacitors started leaking on the mobo. Sold it at some point.

-PII 266?mhz Free! didn't do much with it. OCd to 300.

-2 PII 400mhz. Ran this thing without a dual kernel, so only one processor was used. Still have the peices of this machine.

-celeron 300mhz. OCd to 450.

-PIII 750mhz Replaced my 700 when I got a new mobo.

-486DX2 50mhz laptop It's sitting around somewhere waiting for someone to find a 5 volt line to hook up the turbopll. I think that should take it to 96mhz.

-Pentium 133mhz laptop. Never OCd, and was a ***** to carry around. Lives on my floor.

-Celeron Tualatin 1400mhz. Might OC it this week.

-If all goes according to plan, I should have a new computer tonight that has some actual power.

Hope that wasn't too boring. They are listed in the actual order in which I obtained them (I actually used that 486 laptop for a while when I had all of my other computers temporarily removed from my life). I'd like to know how many of you guys had more computers than me. I mean, that is a lot of computers for a 16 year old girl to have had in her short lifetime, right?

My first 'real' PC was and old IBM XT 8088's. If I recall correctly it was also my first overclock. When I got it the thing had a 4.77 mHz crystal clock generator. I replaced it with an 8mHz crystal and boom at ran. . and YES FASTER LOL. . . The 10 megabye HD finally died in it and I got a 486SX/25 that I also over clocked by replacing the clock crystal. The one it had was a 50/25 and i put in a 66/33. I have since replaced it all and traded and bought jusdt about everything imaginable. I ended up with 3 systems used regularly.

1)P3/1200-Tualatin Core(stock).
2)Athlon 2000XP @ 2.0 gHz
3)P4C/2.6 @ 3.4gHz

(nice thread)
