Yeah, the one big benefit a 38xx series will have is power consumption and heat. But if Brolloks gets those badboys under water and doesn't mind the power bill, he ought to have no problem stomping us poor dudes with RV670's ;)

LOL...I love this game...now I'm probably gonna spend the night cursing and swearing at myself weaving the tubes through an already tight setup to the two monster cards...hope it will be worth it !?!

This thread makes me think the 2900Pros are amazing budget cards. I can't wait to see how the chart fills out. I'm kinda thinking about spending $300 on a pair of these instead of looking into the new 3870x2 or possibly nVidia's offering.

Here are my Crossfire scores so far with the Wolfdale at 4616Mhz.....

http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=9327371 86264 - 01SE

This is how we do on the benchmarking team. Forum Wars 2008 is coming soon. Come check us out. :)

So how does that all translate into a 3DMARK06 score ??

Can you run them again with your CPU at 4.23 GHz so we can just compare vid cards, thanks

I haven't run this chip on 06 and don't currently have it installed. Considering my highest with a Q6700 was 21K, a likely score with this chip at 4616Mhz would be around 19K.
