The X1900XT/XTX/CF/AIW Thread

I plan to do with this thread the same thing I did with the X800GTO² thread so gentlemen & ladies start your engines. I'll be gathering links to as much knowledge and testing as I can find concerning these cards so we have a general reference thread. Please support the thread with as much info as you like. Pics, links, benchmarks, stable voltages, overclocking & cooling methods and anything else that will contribute to the advancement of these great cards are welcome. The X1900XTX/XT sticky thread is over 80 pages so let's see if we can beat that. ;)

it's in the mail.... either Wednesday or Thursday

anyone have links that should be on the frontpage please post or PM me. Thanks.

I guess I'll go first :)

Finally managed to get this 170 stable @ 2.9Ghz on air with BH-5. Next trick is to try it out on -60° and see if it can handle it. I have had no problems with ATI Tool at all, but I will say that the key to clocks is voltage. This XTX (maybe all of them) is different, it doesn't like lower memory voltage like the X1800's. In fact it needed a bit of a bump to eliminate artifacts at 855Mhz.

For you XT guys the voltages I used for these clocks are 1.425 GPU, 2.125 VDD , the rest were left stock. Peak temperatures as you can see in ATIT were just over 60°. I suggest some of you XT guys try these voltages and see what happens :D

Btw, there is no ATI Smart Service with this card/drivers. Only Service to disable is ATI Hotkey Poller. I also did not choose to let ATI Tool disable the services as I did it myself. Hope this helps. Man this Dual core flies in Wings of Fury, it blew away my FX-57 @ 3.7Ghz. The BH-5 is probably helping out a bit.

Maxi added to the Wall of Fame. For those that don't know, Maxi used the proper format for posting pics. For those that want to be added to the Wall of Fame please use the same style when posting clocks and voltages..... Excellent job Maxi. I'm sure you have all kinds of cooling you're gonna try on that card. Thursday can't get here fast enough.

Mine is in the mail as well. I should be receiving mine by 6pm tonight!!
Results to follow. :)

For the sapphire x1900xt cards that have the 1.1ns memory, are you having any problems flashing the bios to xtx? My sapphire x1900xt will be here tomorrow!!

Alright!! Got mine today, if that UPS guy was a gal Id of kissed her full on the mouth LMAO. Gonna test it out to make sure all is in order, then get my Maze4 water block on it.

Hey 1900XT/XTX owners.... don't be afraid to post a pic of your favorite benchmark like Maxi did... your support will help this thread explode into all it should be. ;)

This thread is gonna be HAWT!!! It's funny how the GTO² to X1900XT jump almost DOUBLES 3DMark scores!!

Nice job Maxi! I need to get a Presler again...this 661 isn't cutting it ;) My core will do 730 pretty easily without catching on fire (65C max). I will try your voltages, but nothing really seems to help the mem at all. 775 = VERY easy, 801 = impossible except in Overdrive.

just cheking... so a maze4 fits ok then? i presume it does. but not seen it yet. and i notice 4 bolts yay thats better. i dont like the 2 bolt config on my x800xt.. gotme eye on a x1900xt but need a new mb too. :( soz to thread jack but is there any point getting a 478 pci-e MB to use with this card..so i can keep my old chip.. or do i need to change everything.?. as im still agp

DDR2 and PCI-e!! :) If you can afford it, why not... that way you won't have to buy ANOTHER motherboard again when you wanna do DDR2 or upgrade your chip.
