I've been using a Mac station at the office and one feature I really like is Spotlight. I was using Google Desktop but it's being phased out. Can anyone recommend a desktop search tool that indexes your files emails even searches the contents files. Any suggestions are welcome!

AstroGrep is portable free and will do content searches. I have never used it.

I use UltraFilesearch lite which is free and portable as well. It does have content search I believe also.

As for indexing I have only ever used locate32 (no content searches) but I'm not a great fan of indexing and haven't used it in a while. It's free with 64bit versions and is recommended to use the very latest rc's.
