And I think DDR3 is worth waiting for, you bet your *** Ill be there for AMD's Quad core chips. Nforce 7/8 boards and AM3 with HT3.0. I cant wait.

Yes. Like from DDR1 to DDR2 there are several significant functional differences which preclude the use of identical chipsets and pin-outs.
