Well I put a couple 120mm fans blowing onto the cards, now temps are down to 76 for the top card and 61c for the lower card. Both at 65% fan, any higher than that and it's too loud.

Very disappointed in the hash rate though, only 525 each at 900/1250 clocks. Was only 600 at 1100/1500 so that's not worth the extra 100w. No idea how people are getting 700+ in the Wikipedia entries for 7950's.

Maybe you got a bad brand? Bad batch???
Weird...

Hmm, well they are both MSI twin Frozr III models except one is on a 7970 PCB (8+6 pin) and the other is the newer regular 7950 (dual 6 pin). They are both putting out similar hash rates.

There's a few listings in the wiki results page and they are 690 and 702 hash rates at 1125 and 1140 clock speeds. Again when I had mine at 1100 core clock I only got 600 kH.

Weird man. Doesn't make sense.

Try asking in the gpu coins thread I made, maybe Ivanlabrie or someone can help since I'm a n00b when it comes to cgminer...

OK got my dedicated rig all set up. Two 7850's and a 7950, total rig kH is 1300 and it's drawing 610w from the wall. With 85% efficiency that's about 520w at the psu. 80% load is a little higher than I'd want for 24/7 but it is a quality 80+ bronze unit so it should be OK.

According to this review-
http://www.kitguru.net/components/power-supplies/zardon/antec-truepower-new-650w-review/4/

it's still 85.2% efficient at 523w draw. Hell it's still 84% efficient at full 650w and the unit didn't even shut off until 715w.

Did you overload it???

No I was talking about the review.....theirs didn't shut off until they loaded it to 715w, which is 200w more than I'm loading my PSU.

Glad you got it worked out OP. This whole thread makes me want to get into mining sooner than later. lol I will but when is the question.

Yeah that's why I stopped LTC and just went with middlecoin, making atleast 1/2 again what I was with LTC.

I didn't say 1/2, I said 1/2 again....meaning 1.5 times what I was making with LTC.

For example if I was making ~$10 a day on LTC, I'd be making $15 a day with middlecoin.
