8-16VDC fans ok to use w/ ATX PS?

I inherited a box of old computer junk and found a bunch of fans marked 8-16VDC. Are these feasible to use in a standard ATX case?

I would imagine so. If they can handle 8 and 16V, I don't see why they couldn't work with 12V. You may even be able to move some wires and run them off 17V

Most fans have a range of voltage in which they are designed to operate.

well since 12v is halfway between the range of 8v and 16v, i'd say it'd work optimally.
