I currently have one stick of Kingston HyperX http://www.zipzoomfly.com/jsp/ProductDetail.jsp?ProductCode=80097-8

I want to play Battlefield 2 so I need at leats 1gb of ram. I have a 3.2E Prescott on a IS7-E2 mobo and a X800xt PE.

I figure I have 3 options:
1. Buy another stick of the same ram for about $80.00.
2. Buy some generic ram for about $90.00 for 1gb and sell my current ram.
3. Buy some higher quality ram my budget is for under $170.00 and sell my ram.

What should I do? Any other recommendations on what to do or what ram to get?

i think you should buy another stick. i don't think $170 will buy you anything much better than hyper-x.

ui would suggest buying another 512 of that stuff so you can run dual channel (mobo permitting). 1gb is enough to run BF2... play some music in winamp along with running some other programs..
