backplate rubber!

i took my HS off and backplate from my mobo due to RMA and ruined my rubber seal that is in between the mobo and the backplate!
what else can i put there so the backplate wont touch the mobo!

Let's see...... anything non conductive and something that won't react the way the other one did. I assume the rubber stuck to the motherboard? And when you tried to peel it off, it fell to pieces?

So you need something you can draw the shape of the backplate on and then cut to the right shape. Sorry if I'm thinking out loud, but I'm coming up blank with what you should use.

I bet those mats you lay down in tool chest drawers would work great. Or neoprene. Anything along those lines. Doesn't really have to be sticky either.

That is a much better idea.
 
just get the foam double sided tape and dont uncover the adhesive on the side that sticks to the mobo. thats what i did anyways after my RMA
