I don't know what HSF to get.

I need a cpu HSF for my Athlon XP 1900+. What would be the best one to get that wouldn't be too loud? An SLK-800? I could pick how loud I wanted the fan with this one, but other than that is it a good one?

slk-800 is the top of the line heatsink..you can mate this with a 68 cfm delta if you want to..i have the sunon 84 cfm fan, and i love it..ive got it hooked up to a rheostat so its totally managegable. check the link in my sig for what i mean

I have a 48.5 CFM YS-tech fan on my AX-7 and its not too loud

My Volcano 6cu seems loud... it's only supposed to be 32 dBa. The noise might be all the other fans I have though.

SLK800 doesnt come with a fan and because it is such a great performer, you can sacrifice good fan on it so you can afford to get a nice and quiet one.

I prefer the Alpha PAL8045 for quit systems with lower cfm fans. SLK-800 is still top choice for performance though. *shrug*

I just got a Vantec Aeroflow, I modded a adapter to get a 80mm fan to work on it. Probally not the best, but it will hold me over till I get more money to cool my new processor.

I think I've settled on the SLK-800 with an adjustable speed fan. Not sure which fan yet tho...
