cant read this file - help -

I have a file that was made in works which I no longer have and need to access this. I can open it in word 2000 which is what I use now but its coded,what can I do to make this useable in word?

Get your office CD (Or word cd) and put in drive.
Select "Modify Installation"
Find MS-Word
Filters
L-Click on the "Filters" tab
sel "Run All from Local"
Wait a bit
You may need to restart, but their should now be a file converter that will cope with MS-Works
