do all water cooling systems require maintenance?

To each there own but I check water levels every two weeks, temps weekly, clean out completely once a year running distilled. Has yet to fail me yet!

i havent redone my loop in more than a year, just had to fill up that tline a few times
distilled + silver works great and is really maintenance free

Probably not the best idea but the only maintenance I have had to perform on my loop in the past three years is just topping off the reservoir every once in awhile. Distilled water + Nuke.
