take off stock back bracket yes no?

im thinking no but i want to make sure weather i need to take off the stock back plate to put on the one for the true spirit 140 or do i just fit it over the stock, instructions aren't that great

You need to leave that bracket on. It holds the processor in the socket.

figured as much especially since it uses the odd star shaped screws (the name escapes me atm. thanks very very much for the speedy response
