1 cent coupon code off first month of hatchling plan:
CODE: MATCHMAKER

25% off any hosting package coupon code:
CODE: GATORBAITDISCOUNT

I went with the 25% off and got the first year in advance but it you want to try them out for a penny you can do that too. I've been happy with them!

Highly highly recommend against HostGator since their buyout by EIG. If you are not familiar, I suggest you read more over at WebHostingTalk. In short, EIG is a HUGE company that has 100's of webhosts under it's belt that it's bought out, and each buyout has resulted in poorer performance and support. You can ask for yourself over at WebHostingTalk, EVERYONE will tell you to avoid ANYTHING with the EIG branding behind it.

Tread VERY carefully. I highly recommend checking out some hosts here,

StableHost and FreshRoastedHosting are 2 that are damn good along with BigScoots, CrocWeb, HawkHost, and there are more.

For questions, I recommend asking over there in this section,

I use them on all my sites and they have been excellent for me.

I mean you can try them out for a penny if anyone wants to see what they are like :p

My CS clan has been with Hostgator for coming up on 6 years now. Occasionally we have had some issues, but nothing major. Too bad these are only good for new plans and not renewals.

Seems like shameless self promotion though, joined Dec 2014, changed avatar to a picture of a chick, promote Hostgator.

Don't get me wrong, I still operate an shared account on their servers and have had it since 2010 before the EIG buyout in 2012 (March will be the last pay period before cancelling my own HostGator account). Keeping in mind though, that is not my only account as I have several hosts I use from shared to dedicated.

Check this thread out for a recent question about HostGator in which the experienced comment on though I think kpmedia said it best,
