m5a99fx pro r2.0 Bios question

in my bios i have an option for the asm1061 storage oprom and by default it is set to off.

my question is WTF is it and do i need it on or off?

im running:
OCZ vertex 4 128Gb on port 1
WD green 2Tb on port 2
WD Black 640Gb on port 3
DVD-RW on port 4
external 2.5" 5400rpm (old Laptop drive) on onboard esata port.

I'm not 100% certain but I think if it's active, I think it'll let you use the asmedia controller to boot from.

Its the Sata/PCIe controller. Its what translates SAS to PCIe so that your CPU can read it.

so i would use it if i was running a pcie storage device?
