Did my H100i die?

Sry, i have to lol at this.

That's fine, you can do whatever you want. I have not met an air cooler that I can run my CPU at 4.4 24/7, let alone dureing the summer months. I have an NH-D14, and an ultra120 extreme that I use 38x120 fans on. Maybe you had a ****ty one, but mine works good

Gotta love the self proclaimed "experts" around here that think they know everything.

Corsair does, Asetek/whatever it is that makes the H100i less so.

Don't the engineers of corsair dictate the design or standard of build or is that not how it's done anymore? Because they have there name on the H100i.

I use the H80i with the Corsair Link software. Everything runs just fine but can be unstable at times. When I use my full custom H20 parts and the actually Corsair Link kit is when I usually have less control of my 3rd party fans, pumps etc.

You should test the pump on its own. You said you did and it shut off when you had the power still on? Sounds like a RMA to me. The software is still buggy and folks had issues with all the models related to the software but in this case it seems more hardware related. Corsair should take care of that no problem. I have been reading though of complaints on massive delays on RMAs lately. A few folks waited about a month before they got a response to their emails or RMA tickets. I don't know whats going on with Corsair lately but they seem to be shooting themselves in the foot.

Nope. Not that I know of. As far as I can tell they buy a complete setup off the shelf. They dictate which Asetek (/etc.) pump, which pump options (LED, fan control, etc.) from the list Asetek offers, which tubing and which radiators, all that Asetek offers.
Witness how similar (read: idential) various "Corsair" AIOs to various Thermaltake, Antec, etc. coolers.
Corsair slaps their labels on the software*, but that's about it as far as I can tell.

*Asetek may do that, too.

I'm thinking along those lines as well. An allegedly reputable company with a product that has software and pump problems. Might be a sign of the times since Corsair's much vaunted power supplies don't seem as reliable as they once were.

All the AIO coolers designs look different from corsair to me as far as I can tell.

Similar, I'd say.

Here we have the manufacturer of the "Corsair" systems, CoolIt: http://www.coolitsystems.com/index.php/products/retail.html
Note that this is CoolIt's product page.

No, kinda. They set the specs on the device made in a factory, they do their best to control quality. Then The Bean counters step in and cut back on the software department or say, "That's good enough for the general masses, we make more $$ with the RMAs we have vs making something with real quality".

It's all about the magic $$. Nothing else matters.

Heck, they might be loosing $$, who knows? I'd never recommend a H100i to anyone, and the ones who bought it? It's your stuff.

I thought everybody already knew better than to buy a square pump system, from the earlier ones that failed constantly.

By "different" do you mean "has a different logo printed on the lid"?
I've taken Tt and Antec units apart. The guts (including the lid, excluding the painted on logo) are identical.
