Hey guys, just wondering if I should spend the extra money getting the 1gb version of the 460 GTX or not?
I do a lot of gaming, and I'd like to play on max settings. I have a 2048x1152 Resolution LCD Monitor. I've been using my 8800 GTS, but it's been baked twice now, and I'm not sure how much longer it can hold out.
I'm not really an avid overclocker, I might OC for games if I can't play it on max settings, but otherwise, I don't OC just for the numbers, only to get max settings.
Is it worth the extra cash for the 1gb version? As a student, my budget is pretty tight, so I'd rather not spend more money than I need to. A MIR isn't that great in my situation either, haha.
My CPU is the E8400 Wolfdale if that makes a difference.
