baffled by low 3dmark scores.... wtf?

My setup:

WinXP Pro with all updates
2.8C @ 3.6GHz (257x14, 5:4, Dual Channel)
Sapphire 9800 Pro 256MB
ABIT IC7-G

... if anything else need applied, let me know.

I have 3.4 Cat's installed with Direct X 9.0a. The 9800 Pro is at stock speeds. I get 195xx in 3dmark01 and 58xx (somewhere around there) in 3dmark03. What gives?

If the video card is not overclocked that is probably about right.

Yeh, that sounds ok to me, i think i get about 5600 with my overclocked 9700pro.

My ATI 9700 pro with 3.4 drivers scores 13378 in '01 and 4761 in '03.

Mad Onion / Futuremark simply changed the scoring, reasonable since they are very different tests.

yeah those are some pretty good scores. oc that 9800 pro to like 435/380 and you'll hit 6500+ no problem.

Hmmmm, the 3DMark01 score looks good, but not the 3DMark03 one.
I got 6540 at 3.3Ghz, my 9800Pro 128Mb was not o/c at this time.

baffled by low 3dmark scores.... wtf?
