I have been getting a horrible benchmark with my gear. Between 1300 and 1400 marks. -Really poor for a dual core AMD with 3gb ddr2.
I have: AMD Dual Core 64 bit 4200+ @ 2295 MHZ Each, 3 gb 667 ddr2, pc chips A15G board, sata 40 Gb HD, using on-board Nvidia 6150 SE video set at 512mb. I know the on-board is not ideal, so no need to point that out, but is it really bottle-necking me that much? I have a Zotac Geforce 9500 GT 512mb coming BTW.
3dmark info says the on-board is at 324 Mhz core and mem is whatever my pci bus is, usually 2600-2750 mhz. It has 512 mb shared mem and can do 3.0 shader and 2.0 open-gl.
Am I really going to see such a huge gain in my benchmark? Just from upgrading from on-board to 9500 gt? I can play any 1080p video fine, no skipping and I can play F.E.A.R on med and high settings just fine with the on-board nvidia.... most other games are choppy.
Just doesn't seem like it'll make that much of a difference. Already updated to all newest drivers, forceware, amd dual core optimized, quiet and cool running ok, all mobo drivers up to date. Any Thoughts?
