dalm messenger

i just installed XP SP1 but i cant stop mesenger all the time, everytime i switch my comp on it sins me in automatically but doesnt appear in the task bar, even though i have disabled it to start in startup in the prgram its self and in msconfig. The dalm thing just wont take orders it does what it wants! How can i stop it
a) sining me in automatically all the time
b) Starting when i dont want it to

This thing is really annoying im thinking of switching to trillian just for the fact its not M$

I've found the same problem... I havent been able to stop it properly, and I just uninstalled it by typing this into the start-run prompt:

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\INF\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

ill do that then ill un-install the M$ Crap and use trillian
