I have two pieces of 256 Corsair pc3200. I tested and passed on both piece individually at 200 fsb. When i run both piece in same time, it can't ever boot up at 196 fsb. Why?
Maybe something to do with the memory modules' power requirements? DDR sucks up voltage. Read an article on that either here or at HardOCP. Maybe check it out.
Thanks for that link.. But Corsair men with Winbond chip seem not like voltage.. I have given 2.99 vdimn on single piece run and result no performance change.
At defualt voltage it stable at 200 fsb.. At 2.99 Vdimn, it can't even hit 205 fsb..
Some people forget that even though this mobo is "older" that it too had it's memory issues like the nForce board does now, even with excellent memory proplems can still occur. I assume you tried different slot combinations? 1 and 3 were best from what I remember most people reporting.
