Looking for a used laptop

Hi,

where to get used laptop (in US)
for about $250, I know that for that money I can get
only P3 or P2, is ebay.com one sites that I can look
or is there any other sites?

cheapest one is PENTIUM II 366 MHZ for $439
that's kinda expencive for me

I just bought the laptop I am typing on now on ebay for $280

Its a celly 400 with 160mb of ram and a 4gig hdd (which may need some increasing

)
It came with a docking station and everything, but I am having to shell out another $30 to replace the battery.

Look around. I narrowly missed out on some even better deals.

Go to your local pawnshop and see what they have... I got a
Gateway 2500 Series
P2 333mhz
64MB
2MB Neomagic graphics
4gig hd
It says its an 8x DVD-Rom but i didn't think they would have one in this old of a laptop... it plays DVDs nice. Maybe it was a later upgrade.
13.1 LCD display i think could be bigger never measured it.
PCMCIA 56k 3Com Modem
PCMCIA Kingston DVD Decoder
Windows 98
Well since I knew the owner of the place. I got it for about $200
I traded a few things worth that much... I think he wanted about $300 for it.

Just go to a few shops see what they got... most pawnshop owners don't have the slightest clue about a computer.. I'm pretty sure you could find a nice one and then talk them down to a good price.. make sure to use it first.. so you know everythings ok.. If you have a few things you might want to get rid of like an old stereo or some old console system do some trading to get the price even lower. Most pawnshops will take just about anything.
