MB temp sensor-where is it?

i am now watercooling my bd7ii,and now as there is no fan blowing air around cpu socket the mb temps are reading higher than cpu by a couple degrees.is the mb temp sensor located around the msfets and capacitors near the cpu socket.i am tryin to figure out how to mount a 40mm fan to blow air onto the mosfets etc,
