I am getting Pentium 4 2.4b 533Mhz FSB. It's going to be using PC2700 RAM. How far will it overclock due to the RAM limitation?

Depends on if this is a newer 2.4B or not. The later ones overclock quite well, often well over 3 gig. Even the older crappiest most stubborn ones usually will do at least 2.7 gig.

Let's just pretend the CPU is capable of doing 3 gig. That's 166 FSB. Using the 1:1 memory ratio results in DDR333. Oddly, that's exactly what PC2700 RAM is rated at.

Crazy. You want to ponder something crazier? I got my Crucial DDR PC2700 33Mhz to PC3200 400Mhz. Latency timings were kinda high but I think I can get it more stable if I increase voltage and add some ramsinks. Thanks for the responses. Keep them comming!
