I was wondering who around here has the highest duron OC? I've been able to get my MIUHB 0329 Applebred 1.8Ghz to post at 11x228FSB, but 11x225FSB is the highest it will run windows consistently at, and 11x220 is the highest it is prime stable.

Nice O/c. Didn't realize Duron's overclock that well. I might just have to get one myself. What a great price for such a good chip.

Also, this belongs in the AMD CPU's section, not in General CPU's, please keep that in mind next time. Thanks.

Matt

that chip beats mine hands down, i got the same steping and the same week too, that one beat me by 200 mhz.

Does this mean that a duron is faster in certain areas clock for clock? My mobile barton only does 8986 mips (ALU) and 3739 (FPU) mflops at 12X200 2400mhz this is a small speed difference between the two yes his ALU and FPU scores are higher. WHY would this be???

I had a 1.3 duron that could do 2G OCed...probably could of done more, but the A7N8X at the time wouldnt let me go past 1.75v's...should of kept it and found out what it could of done on the NF7...

Because sandra scores are unaffected by the amount of cache the CPU has, in real world the barton is gonna be way faster than a duron clock for clock, as it has 8 times the cache.

You guys can also unlock the rest of your cache, to turn that chip into an AthlonXP. just connect the L2 bridge that is cut and viola! the extra cache doesn't work 100% of the times as in some rare cases it actually is damaged.

I have a 1.4GHz chip running at 2.2GHz with an Aero 7 Lite cooler. I am sure I could do better with better motherboard, currently a MSI 745 Ultra, and better cooling.

My Duron 1600... (MIXIB 0343 MPMW)

(l30, maze4, voyeurmods heatercore, homemade shroud, 120mm radioshack fan)
did 2100mhz (12x175) on stock voltage
did 2400mhz (12x200) on 1.85v
did 2544mhz (12x212) on 1.95v
did 2606mhz (12x217) on 2.14v**

Duron1600.JPG

** - my 8rga+ was set to 2.2v, the board max, but only was putting out 2.14v, was not stable... had a scr shot of it.. but lost it

2520mhz was what i ran 24/7... p95 stable...

I paid $43 for my 1.4Ghz duron when they first came out. I've never put it in a board that I could change the multiplier, but it does 2.1Ghz at 1.45 volts.

WOW! Great numbers on water! Makes me wanna go H20 and see what the lil' chip will do.

*Update*

Got a new power supply(fortron 400W) and a Thermalright ALX800...now 24/7 prime stable at 12x210(2520mhz) @ 1.85V, max it'll post is 13x200 @ 1.9V, though that's not windows stable :(

chip is doing amazingly :attn: .. bet a 2.6 would be reached about a vew days,

where did you get the sandra version from you with the fx51/53 in the tabel, mine only ends at p4 4ghz ..??
