Keyboard Led

Say I wanted to add some 5mm led's to my old non USB keyboard to light them up at night, I figured 2-6 ultra bright or regular would do. How many do you think I could add before I stress the 5v line too much? Or should I bring in a seperate line from the PSU?

Another popular thing to do is to put EL wire in between the keys.... you get a more even light that way.

Wow, thats a cool idea. I just might do that, but then I guess I will have to bring in a second power source... Still anyone have any ideas of what I can do from my first post?

just run a wire alongwith the keyboard one maybe use one of the molex connector pci brackets at xoxide

Yeah, I've been lookin at those. I guess I'll just pick one up and tie it up with the Keyboard cable. Should be perfect for some EL wire and a few Led's. I'll put some pictures up later next week when I have it finished along with my new case.
