PC P&C Turbo Cool 510 Shorted out, oh noes

So I install my new Audigy 2 frontpanel, and when I go to power up my APC UPS sounds a wiring fault...

I go to reset and I see a spark fly out of my PSU...

So, question, is this a case of crossed wiring causing the PSU to short out, and if so I hope none of my components fried... Took off the top cover of the PSU and it looks like one of the transistors got fried, but the cause I know not.

Thoughts?

What could possible cause a PC&C to fry...

Warranty is fine, that's not what I'm worried about(and besides the point). I'm trying to find out what caused the fault so it doesn't happen again.

hmm... a fan mod?
if i remember correctly, i've seen some threads where PC&C don't reccomend changing the fan.

My 510 has a fan mod and it works fine *knocks on wood*. Besides he said he warranty was fine...If he did a fan mod it would be voided from that alone.
