HT overclocked?

I have an athlon 4000 San Diego overclocked to 2.6 from 2.4 stock. Running prime 95 for several hours with no problems. Does it hurt to have HT overclocked a bit. (from 2000 to 2186). Or should I lower the HT multiplier to 4X and have it underclocked? Thks.

yea and if you lower it to 4 or 3 more than likely you can raise your overclock

You should Be fine. My HT maxes out at about 1250 (x2 is 2500)

What mobo do you have?

Have it underclocked it helps with stability (its better then oced) and it doesent hurt preformance

I have the chaintech nforce4 ultra mainboard. VNF4. 2gb OCZ 3200 platinum. timings currently at 2.5-2-3-2-5 1t. 434mhz. I may try to push them further, seems verys table so far. thks.
