am i correct in assuming that i want the Spread spectrums set to "Disabled" when i start overclocking?? And what is Spread spectrum??
Defaults....
Current settings
~~CPU spread spectrum, set to "Center spread"
~~HT spread spec trum set to "auto"
~~PCIe Spread spectrum (SSP) set to "Auto"
~~PCIe Spread spectrum (MCP) set to "Down spread"
~~ SATA Spread spectrum set to "Disabled"
Also am i correce that i set the following settings to disabled?
~~CPU thermal controll
~~C1E Enhanced Halt state
~~Intell Speedstep
And finally since i have you here, my memory which is This(2x 1 GB sticks) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148070
Voltages are auto at 1.85V and are rated at 2.2V should i change the voltages?
Timings are default auto set to 5-5-5-18-2T, is this ok or would something else be better (say 4-4-4-12) or something else to start with before i start tightening them up?
The default setting is auto for the memory, should i set it to linked or unlinkrd??
and i have the following settings
1:1
5:4
3:2
sync mode: <---what is this?
Which is the best when i just start overclocking?
Thanks for the help everyone
