what can I expect to see for speeds? I got a asus pt4-e. I was "only" able to get my 1.6 to 2100+. No pin mod, just straight fsb, and air cooling

Probably 2.7 with good air cooling.

Why not keep the 1.8a? Your bus would run much higher on the low end Northwood then it would on the high and it would probably have a similar outcome and a big price difference.

I'm @ 2.7Ghz rock stable aircooled.. and it's climbing :) .. I ran it @ 2.8 but it reboots after a while, not CRASHING! .. which means not enough juice :) .. I'll get 400watt PSU and I'll try again!

At least 2.6+ with good air cooling and voltage of around 1.65.

22*133 agp 66 pci 33. some asusu board didnt touch the voltage.

idles at 42, full load at 52 stable.

Another thread from the grave. Depends a lot on what stepping. The early B0 steppings didn't do as well as the later Northwoods. I had a B0 2.0A that would only do about 2.5 gig. Later I got a 2.0A C1 stepping that did 3.4 gig.
