I was going to pick one up to replace my pooch of a 2600K... But I think I'm just going to wait for Ivy Bridge.

With my luck I'd end up with a pooch 2700K also. LOL

What a shocker. They have just refined there process at making the CPU's and can squeeze another sku/money out of it with a new name is all.

What it was what $15 more than a 2600k I thought NOT that much for sure.

I read on many forums that the last 260K's were not clocking as well as the early ones.
They might keep the top of the basket for the 2700K's...

makes me think of the 920 : 930 difference. the 930's seemed to run cooler but offered less performance for most that were oc'ing. not a bad processor, just not a performance leap at all
