Since I am adding a freenas machine to my network, I have to change around my network. Mainly because where I kept the majority of the networking gear and my original server doesnt have enough space for the second tower.

This new setup will provide more security even if it doesnt look like it in the diagram.

So I understand this, the green connection is your DMZ, correct? You have two public IP addresses? Won't the WRT Linksys allow a port to be assigned to the DMZ? That's a lot of switch for just one port.

Only 1 public IP.
But essentially yes the green line is my DMZ.
If my modem had a built-in switch, I could get rid of the 100Mb switch.

So how are you handling the need for two IP addresses with this arrangement?

So you are doing Vlans on the 2960 and trunking to the router via subinterfaces? Interesting, I didn't know the Linksys hardware would support that.

those icons are representative, the model numbers mean nothing.

Oh okay. I was pinning everything to the model numbers you are showing.
