Hey guys, recently new member, long time fan of the site though. Thought I'd finally join up.

Now to business, I've a qx9650 riding on an xfx 780i mobo with 8gb ram. I've had it safely overclocked at 3.67 with the multiplier upped to 11, that it.

Battlefield 4 is just around the corner and I want to squeeze out all I can on air, I anticipate to upgrade to the new lga2011 platform next year and want this to hold me out till then.

I'm using a CNPS9700 110mm heatsink which has proved worthy!

I've been playing around with the voltages and cannot get anything stable

I had the system boot in 13x multiplier and linked the fsb till it rose to roughly 4.5ghz, memory voltage at 1.85v, cpu at 1.6v, cpu fsb at 1.3v. Now I know the cpu voltage is kind of high but it booted up fine. Anything past the regular tasks and browsing, I get a blue screen.

I was wondering if I could get some constructive input from OC gurus on here regarding this.

Here are my cpuz screenshots if that helps. Thanks in advance for any input.

Try 400MHz x 10 = 4.0Ghz at 1.475V, CPU FSB at 1.3V, SPP at 1.4V, and MCP at 1.575V. This w/ the RAM at 1:1 (1600 QDR); RAM linked / synced at DDR2-800 and 5-5-5-18-2T at 1.80V. You might also want to consider a Vdroop mod for that board.

Thanks for rhe input ill try this later today. Ill have to look into vdrop mods as well.

so with these settings the system recognizes the 10x frequency @3333mhz and so does cpuid but in bios it shows 4000

top one is idle, bottom is taken next to bf3 running
