Help!

I have killed my ASUS A7V133 raid motherboard and I have data on my two raid 0 configured harddrives that I want to keep.

So will I be able to read the disks with a new motherboard with a different raid controller?

Hi Thomas,

In my experience, if you have the same raid controller on your new mobo, and connect the drives in the same order, it will work.

I know for a fact that this works with the Promise Raid controllers, and on at least on of the mobo's i've had with the High Point controller.

I have, however learned from experience that a PCI Raid Card is the best way to go for high speed, and security. If you fry your mobo, you can plug the card, and drives into another one, and have all your data intact.

I hope this helps you out!

So if I get an A7V333 with a PROMISE ATA133 controller
will that be compatible with my A7V133 PROMISE ATA100
controller?
