Hey guys, I have 32gb of GSkill 3600mhz. Trident Z RGB installed. In the bios and in windows, only 24 gb is detected but the RGB is working on all dimms. If I had a bad slot would the RGB still light up. Thanks in advance.

Bad slot could still be giving the stick power...

How about system specs.... what is this in? Create a signature.

Likely need to add some System Agent or IO voltage...but again what cpu and motherboard?

A couple things to try, pull the sticks out and clean the contacts, then reseat them. If it persists then test the sticks are working individually and move your way to the slots and test them. HW failure does happen but get the problem solving out of the way first. Sometimes just reseating the sticks fixes the issue.
