I am looking to spend around $700, I don't need monitor/keyboard/etc. just the tower minus the graphics card. I want to skip the gpu since I have an HD5850 1gig already, I figure I will getter better components now and save for a better GPU later. I want to do my shopping from Newegg since I have built about 7 computers and always had great service from them. I have not built a computer in about 4 years though so I am out of the loop.

I am leaning toward CPU:

PSU:

Case:

Looking for feedback on those items as well as suggestions on the rest. Also what is a good aftermarket cpu cooler for that cpu?

The Phantom is a great case with excellent airflow.

For a 2500K, a Hyper212+ is enough. AIO water kits are a waste on a cool running CPU.

If you're never going to run more then one card, a 650TX will handle any single card now and in the future. You could put that money towards a better motherboard, Z68 if you can. More features with the chipset.

Really surprised at the lack of feedback! Did I post to the wrong forum or something? I know last time I got quite a bit of feedback.

Anyway, I ended up ordering:

CPU:

and PSU to:

Also ordered a Hyper 212+ cooler.
