Hi guys is there a 80mm to 120mm fan adapter out there? i need one for my heatsink

80mm to 120mm fan adapter?

yeah, do a search- someone posted that they found one and gave a link the other day. But it was my understanding that having it on your heatsink, and then a 120 MM fan it would be too far out, and weigh too much and might break your mobo clips. Good luck though!

Seems to me like no one likes the idea of a 80mm to 120mm fan adapter what do you guys think?

You can get 80's that deliver pretty good airflow if you don't mind a little noise.

Yeah, but there is a delta 120mm that has 190cfm. nexfan.com has a 120-80 adapter.

I heard those adapters really don't help, a place did a test (sorry don't have the site) that compared a 80 to 60 and 92 to 80 with fans with the same db rating and found that it actualy hurts performance, I don't know about 120 to 80, but I'd assume gain would be minimal most likely and not effect your OC, and would cost a lot more. Just my thoughts.
