I currently have

xp 2200 (1.8@133) oc to 2.167@160
geforce 6600 gt oc ([email protected]) oc to [email protected]
1280MB pc3200 w/ 1024 in dual channel (non oc, won't boot when i do)

As you may guess, my scores aren't the best: 3dmark01 - 13,868, 03 - 8424 and 05 - little over 3600. I know, but I just bought the graphics card several weeks ago. Keep in mind that I'm a junior in high school working weekends only (small check).

I am looking at getting either the socket 939 a64 2800, 3000, or 3200 (either w/ thermalake xp-120). I ask b/c reviewers at newegg said that they got there 2800s and 3000s both oc'd to 2.6/2.7GHz and running cool. So, which would perform better if I oc'd it to 2.6/2.7 or go further? and what are yalls scores if you have a 2800-3200. The 3400 is kinda expensive for me.

Oh, I once had a coolbits setting that allowed me to show a graph (detailing cpu idle, gpu idle, mem usage or something, etc., but a while ago I had to reinstall everything (and readd coolbits to the registry) and lost that function. Do yall know where I can get the file for the graph setting? I'd like to see how far my gpu is ahead of the old dinosaur xp 2200.

3000+...There are no 2800+ 939's, otherwise i'd suggest that (since you seem to be on a budget).

No there will be <palermo will be the 2800+> however I think he is referencing to S754.

A Winnie 3000+ should give you a nice overclock. Don't be afraid of using memory dividers to keep your memory timings tight since dividers don't kill the A64's performance like they do with nForce2s & Athlons. A 280MHz HTT with that 9x multi of yours will net you 2.52GHz. With a 5:6 (166) divider will give you 233MHz memory, a 2:3 (133) will get you to 183MHz memory which is below stock for your memory.
