Adding rad to AIO

I never said you where an idiot. I've been a mechanic for over 40 years also. I know very well about aluminum/brass/copper rads. I've read and re-read your post and to me it sounds like you're just tossing money out the window. If you want to toss your hard earned money out the window, by all means go for it. I;m just stating that you're not the first, nor the last person to ask questions about crap water cooling parts and throwing money away. I'm here to advise against it and your fund will be better spent going the "right route", but hey who am I to say otherwise. I dunno anything about watercooling. Thus is why I stated it never ceases to amaze me about ppl like you.

Good luck with that tho-

Perhaps don't have an ******* attitude immediately. But hey, what do I know about who are *******s, I only experience them everyday in retail. I can probably assume what type of mechanic you were. I came in here asking for advice on how to create a cheap loop that wont die or leak immediately. Other people have given advise. Like a aquarium pump instead of wasting a ridiculous amount of money of a piece of **** build. I won't even reuse the parts, how is that not considered wasting money on parts that will be thrown away later. It can be done cheaply and well. Look at previous builds before water cooling is a thing. I won't take your advice and hope you don't return to this thread. The less I see of you the better.

Dog! Show love, not hate! thanks!

So for those part of this forum willing to provide out of the box thinking, does this seem like it might work? It wont be pretty and I can seal what I need with silicone. Its cheap enough to do. Some hoses I can get for somewhat cheap and hose clamps I can get easy. I have silicone left over from a previous project.

I am just waiting for this thread to be closed at this point lmao

well this thread went downhill fast :( let cooler heads prevail gentlemen!
easy Neb i think he gets it. hes just trying to keep costs down while trying to maintain some quality.

annnyhoo this was the cheapest gear i could find that will hold up for a good long time.
i would go with this ddc pump for $65 its a very solid ddc pump that is as high quality as they come. if anything youll be able to resell it for a nice chunk of what it cost ya. same with the rest of this gear except for the tubing. tubing is once and done.

and the cpu block you are checking out but from performance pcs. its a couple bucks cheaper. $50
http://www.performance-pcs.com/alphacool-nexxxos-xp-light-black-v-2-intel-amd.html
add in 5-6 of these barbs $20 - you may be able to find them cheaper elsewhere.

some clamps for the barbs $5 or just grab some from autozone.
http://www.performance-pcs.com/primochill-steel-zinc-plated-hose-clamps-for-5-8in-od-tubing.html
and one of these fill-ports to make a t-line out of. $8
http://www.performance-pcs.com/phobya-fillport-black-nickel.html
then 4-5 ft of this tubing.$10ish
http://www.performance-pcs.com/primoflex-b-advanced-lrt-b-tubing-3-8in-id-x-5-8in-od-onyx-black.html
and finally a t block- you can pick these up for pennies but i cant find the plastic ones. just make sure its a outside diameter 3/8 inch. going with a plastic one will eliminate 3 barbs.

right around a bill 50 was the best i could do without a res and using a t-line for the res.

dont feel obligated to use this gear lol. i enjoy parts picking cheap loops ;)

edit -if your just looking for a throw away loop go with the cheapest stuff you can find on amazon or try aliexpress they have a ton of cheap wcing gear.

Thats a full custom loop....what was suggested to do out of the gate. :)

It will work fine. If you are going for cheap, dont split hairs on the block and temps. They dont vary terribly much.

Why not look into the Swiftech AIO sets? Nice and cheap and can cool plenty with quality parts. Buy cheap parts and you risk frying your good pc parts. Not a good idea imo.
