Comps at work are all intel! We run xeon's though, so not really transposing directly. (yes Im an engineer xD). Im doing simulation and data logging, nothing CAD based though.

Mostly dependent on applications of course, for average home computing, I really don't see a 1100t beating a 4770k in anything honestly.
